Our experienced team of Chartered Physiotherapists and Pilates instructors in Brighton are here to support your recovery back to health and wellness.
Louise is a qualified Physiotherapist (BSc Hons) with a specialist interest in pelvic health, alongside a strong background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. After completing her Physiotherapy degree, she undertook an additional year of specialist training in pelvic health and now works in a split MSK and pelvic health role.
Louise's MSK experience spans the NHS, hydrotherapy, private sports clinics and working with sports teams - a year of which was spent working in Australia. She has treated a wide range of patients, from acute injuries through to longer-term rehabilitation and return to sport, and particularly enjoys using exercise-based rehabilitation to help people build strength, confidence and get back to the activities they enjoy.
Alongside her MSK work, Louise has developed a specialist interest in women’s pelvic health. She has specialist training in antenatal and postnatal care, including supporting women following caesarean sections and 3rd or 4th degree tears. Louise also has experience providing post-operative rehabilitation following procedures including hysterectomy and prolapse repair. She has a particular interest in helping women experiencing pelvic pain and hypertonic (overactive) pelvic floor dysfunction, taking an individualised approach to understanding and managing their symptoms.
As a qualified Matwork Pilates instructor, Louise particularly enjoys using Pilates as a foundation in her pelvic health rehabilitation plans. She believes that helping people develop strength, movement confidence and a better understanding of their bodies is an important part of long-term recovery and wellbeing.
Louise enjoys the variety that comes with working across both MSK and pelvic health, and meeting people at different stages of their rehabilitation. Whether helping someone return to sport, recover from an injury, prepare for birth or rebuild strength following childbirth, she aims to provide supportive, personalised and evidence-based care.
